About Me
Salut! (Hello!) I am a dark haired, brown eyed Romanian girl, who was adopted into a loving forever home in Canada when I was just 1 year old. I grew up on a farm close to Landmark, Manitoba. My Romanian roots run deep in me, and have always been a big part of my life.
I am a stay-at-home mom to my 3 beautiful children, 2 boys and a girl. Being a mom is the most rewarding job I have ever had, but also the hardest. (Let’s be honest, raising miniature versions of yourself is EXHAUSTING!) My husband means the world to me. I think he’s the best!
We live on an acreage near a small town in Alberta. A beautiful hour’s drive northeast of Calgary, through the rolling hills. Coffee is an important part of my morning routine. Some things I enjoy are cooking, spending quality time with my family and friends, and sitting around a cozy fire on a summer evening. I am an extrovert. I thrive on social interaction, so my family & friends are very important to me. I love connecting with people. I recently met my birth mother for the first time in my life. It was a momentous time for me. I struggled a lot and learned a lot.
I believe in an Almighty God, who is the Maker of all things good and beautiful. My desire is to serve Him for the rest of my life.
My goal here is to bring you along on my journey, with events from my past and the present. And musings of the future. My hope is to help you better understand and know you’re not alone with your feelings and emotions as an adoptee. To give others the opportunity to show empathy to adoptees struggling to find their identity. And possibly some other things I have learned or experienced in my life. If you feel to comment on my blog, please reach out to me. I love and appreciate every response I get!
